# Home Recording Help Please!

**Objective:** I am part of a four piece rock band that wants to record our songs , so we can distribute them over the net. By the way, we don’t have any money to buy new equipment.

**Equipment:** 600W Powered Mixer, Microphone, Speaker, Powerbook G4 Laptop

[_]What are some good programs to record on the Mac?  
[_]_Where should we record (i.e. room, backyard…)?_  
[_]What extra equipment do we need (if any) to start recording?  
[_]_Do mattresses help reduce noise?_  
[\*]_In what order should we record (i.e. guitar, drums, bass & vocals)?_
