# Hot coffee - steam smoke effect

Sorry of this is a tired question… I’ve been searching through the forum for a suitable steam effect for my project. While I’ve found tons of other cool effects I plan to toy with later, I didn’t really find a good effect or tutorial for \*this \*particular situation.

I have a coffee cup that’s viewed from above. (Like in this image: [http://artfiles.art.com/images/-/Frank-Tschakert/Coffee-cup-and-spoon-Poster-C12155335.jpeg](http://artfiles.art.com/images/-/Frank-Tschakert/Coffee-cup-and-spoon-Poster-C12155335.jpeg) )  
The plan is for subtle steam to rise upwards and out of screen.

Most of the effects I’ve found are cigarette smoke, candle smoke or other kinds of thin smoke which I’ve tried to adapt for my needs with less than satisfactory results. There are tutorials around that describe exactly what I want, but not for Flash MX 2004.

Any pointers you could give me would be _deeply_ appreciated. 🙂
