how come no one ever really helps me out on here? I’ve been having this problem for a month and everytime I post no one helps me, like once or twice someone posted something but I didn’t fully understand where they were getting at so when I ask, they never replied…can someone PLEASE help me?

oh sorry i forgot that, lol. Well, I’m making a game. and i have two movie clips right now till i get the coding for the hitTest. One mc is (guy) the other is (desk) guy moves on key press and what not. Well I want it to where when the guy touches the desk, he stops, basic, but then I want him to be able to move the other three ways also, how can I achieve this?

I just did this tutorial for the platform game I want to learn how to make them.
But it has all kinds of movements in it to teach how to do most of it.

I’m sorry I have been trying to figure it out, thank you for the file, but I don’t understand it one bit, lol, um, is there anything simpler? I’ll tell you what I have so far.
on the movie clip guy i have
onClipEvent(EnterFrame)
If(Key.isDown(Key.DOWN)
\_this.\_x += 6
//and so on and so forth with the rest of the 3 arrow keys.
I got the guy to move, but it’s just the hitTest I need to know. Digital, you codes to complex for me to understand, I’m new to this type of programming in flash, but thank you for your help.
