# How do create a php/mysql controlled news area?

I have always been interested in knowing/learning a bit about using php/mysql. I have been developing my personal website that includes a simple newsarea. This is within its own div and uses an external html page.

However, I would like to make it better; to easily update the news content with php/sql. How would I go about doing this? Is there a tutorial? My aim is foremost to easily the text and format the html.
