# How do I export a swf or mov with transparent background

How do I export a swf or mov with transparent background?

I’m doing some animation in flash and what to use it in an after effects project, so I need a transparent background, in order to use it with other layers in my movie.  
I know I can import a swf or a mov file into after effects but how do I get a transparent background?  
I know it can be done as someone showed me once but I’ve played with various export options and can’t get it to work.

Any help would be great
