# How do you import graphics without losing quality?

Heya im new here and this problem is starting to get a tad annoying 😉

I like to do pixel art… and make pixel web designs like the kirupa banner above. However, i cant seem to get them into flash without losing an insane amount of quality. Ideally i would like it to be perfect… hm how has kirupa managed it with his header? 😕

Ive tried messing around with the properties when its in the library, ive tried exporting them from my graphics program to optimise the quality… in short whats done here:

plus desperate mindless experimentation. Oh and the images when in flash are definately on whole pixels not point pixels. Only thing i havent done is the transparency stuff… dont quite understand that ☹

Can any of you guys help? It always ends up grainy with some sort of grainy ghost image of itself above it 😕 Is it possible to search the forum? ive tried looking manually but no luck. Ive tried importing all types especially .png’s
