# How do you make no background on your .swf?

i want to be able to creat a .swf file that doesn’t have a background (or has a transparent background). i figured out how to do it for html, but i want to make a screensaver that has objects floating around the desktop… anyone have any ideas?

Ummm, I believe that requires another program, or the program you are using to make it a screensaver should have an option.
It is not something you can do in Flash.

I have never done this, so we will have to wait for someone else to come along with info.
I am interested in this too. I would like to make a Flash Screensaver.

[SWF Studo](http://www.northcode.com) will do it, not sure how much you want to spend on a program, it’s a bit expensive but has a lot of cool features. I don’t know of any other programs off the top of my head that will do it.

I was into the same thing. I tried this program at
[http://www.screentime.com/ScreenTime\_F/screentime3.html](http://www.screentime.com/ScreenTime_F/screentime3.html)
it worked well but, I just downloaded the trial version. the ful version $199 - $ 299 might be worth it.
With the demo I have created my Flash intros into screensavers. You could also set your screen savers to expire after certain amount of time if you would like the person to make a bigger commitment.

4000 is a lot. If I had that I would definitely get 3DS Max and a Wacom 🙂 So “pimpin transvestite midget hookers in hollywood” is the way to go to achieve that eh? I might give that a try.
