# How do you........?

How do you Install a Flash Component from [flashcomponents.net](http://flashcomponents.net) I tried installing the cursor and the news flsher by dragging and droppping is there anything I need to first.

Can someone please HELP!

If you havent done so already you should download and install [Macromedia Extension Manager](http://www.macromedia.com/exchange/em_download/).

Now depending on the component there could be settings you will need to configure under properties panel and/or external files needed. If you download the component from [flashcomponents.net](http://flashcomponents.net) usually the author will post a link or list directions on what is needed ot use the component.

ps - The Macromedia Extension Manager program isnt’t necassary to run components I dont think but it is a very easy way to install MXP files.
