if i’ve got a movie clip running…

how does flash see it exactly?

i mean… if i’m writing some action script for flash to stop the current movie cilp no matter what it is… how do i identify it?

i’m curious cause when the user clicks on a button i would like the play head
to go to the exit animation on what ever movie clip that is currently playing.

i know this is probably a simple question, but i’m still kinda new to all this.
thanks in advance.
