# How hard is it to learn Flex if you know AS3?

I’m relatively new to AS3, and I’m thinking that it would be advantageous to learn Flex as well. I assume there is a lot of crossover, but I have a friend who is a Flex developer who swears up and down that he doesn’t know Flash. What do you think?
