2 options

1. make the image into a MovieClip and set its alpha to 0 in the first keyframe of your animation and to 100 at the last

2. put a layer over the layer with the image, make a white shape in the new layer, covert it to a MovieClip, set its alpha to 0 in the first keyframe of your animation and to 100 at the last

ps. you can set the alpha of a movieclip in the properties panel

hope that helps

search for image blur / burn in the forum somewhere, i’m pretty sure there’s a source file / turorial under Souce Files / Experiments. It’s just an image burn that plays with the RGB levels of the jpg or whatever you have loaded into flash - Chris

Check out [**this post from me in another thread.**](http://www.kirupa.com/forum/showthread.php?p=1775638#post1775638)

You don’t need the frame by frame animation, just a tween.
