# How should i encode video for ipod classic?

I have an ipod classic and am currently using Xilisoft Video Converter

Should i covert on the 640 by 480 or the 320 by 240?  
file size is not a concern at all to me, im in seach of top quality

is there a better converter i could use? what settings would i use on it?
