# How to create a scrollbar?

Hello

I have a scroll bar which includes, in my MX 2004 library, movie clips such as ‘thumb middle’, ‘Scroll track’ and ‘down arrow disabled’. Altogether there are more than 60 movie clips associated with the scroll bar alone!!

I am trying to reduce the size of my FLA file and thought that I could replace the scroll bar with something simpler. Is there an uncomplicated way of doing this?

There is a tutorial here on how to create a scroll bar, but it is not related to MX 2004.

Sure just create your own, it gives you way more flexibly and keeps the file size down.

That’s the tutorial I already have, but when I downloaded the FLA files, it says ‘Unexpected file format’.

Darn I just tried to down save it for you but the lowest I can save it as is Flash 8.
