# How to get username from Joomla site?

I 'm making a Flash cs3 application and I want, when it loads, to check if the user is logged and get username.  
How can I do this?  
When I call a php file the JFactory can’t be accessed.  
Is amfphp the way?  
And how can I do it with amfphp?
