Hi, all!
I just wanted to ask you this silly question and let you all know that I’m new to flash and this forum, I’ll work extrimely hard to be good at making everything related to flash, this is one of the best forums that I’ve seen so I decided to join it.
Could you please tell me how to place flash document or file on a web page?
Either let me know or link me to a thread that explains how to do it.
Thank you all!

Okay… with your flash document opened, go to File -\> Publish Settings or press Ctrl+Shift+F12.
Now check the HTML option and press the Publish button.
Thats it.

If you have dreamweaver (also by Macromedis) just click the little red Flash button in the main toolbar, and it’ll ask you to find the file you want to place in the page. If you have GoLive, it’s a little green button in the Basics palette.

By the way, you’re not placeing a Flash file, you’re placing it’s .swf file (shockwave file, not to be confused with Macromedia Director’s Shockwave!).

Yes that’s right!

Make sure when you have finished your movie you save it. Now go to FILE\>EXPORT MOVIE\>choose a name and location and save it as a .swf file

You will have to “embed” this exported file into dreamweaver or something and then upload the html document and the flash file to your server.

If you need step by step instructions, post again here

Okay…

Flash MX is a program used to create websites in flash. However, you cannot effectively just upload the flash files.

You will need to place the flash file in a normal html page and then upload it.

Dreamweaver is the best html software program and that is what i use. I would suggest downloading it because it is worth the money.

I just create a new html file and place the flash swf into that and save the document.

Then i upload the swf and the html document into my web space and it works.

If you don’t use dreamweaver, i wont be able to offer you step by step instructions.

What do you use for html pages then?

What you want to do? Just publish your flash file in a HTML page?
If so, i gave all the instructions on the 1st reply.
