# How to promote a website

I have a small website, which is IT based. I write news stories related to computers and stuff. My site is kind of like [infoworld.com](http://infoworld.com), [computerweekly.com](http://computerweekly.com), [eweek.com](http://eweek.com), and [news.com](http://news.com). The only difference is that it’s too small as I started it two months ago.

Obviously big sites that I stated above won’t link to small sites. They are professionals and don’t need any traffic from link exchange.

I have been getting few visitors from serach engines and stuff. Can someone tell me what are some other ways to promote my news site? ☹ Thx.
