# How to record a mp3 sound in flash

Hello ther,  
I’m using Flash 8 and Flash media Server to save an audio from a mic to the server.  
Actually the actionscript code is saving the recorded audio in flv format but i want it to be in mp3 format. Can some1 help me, part of the code is:

function doRecord(\_file\_name\_loc:String) {  
\_file\_name\_loc = \_file\_name;

if (Record\_btn.getLabel() == “Record”) {  
circle.\_xscale = circle.\_yscale = client\_mic.activityLevel+20;  
out\_ns.attachAudio(client\_mic);
