# How to retrieve specific dates from mySQL db

Hi,  
Basically my database contains the dates of bands performances. When i pull this info from the database into my flash page i want it so only dates of performances that are on, or later than the current day are retrieved so that the user doesn’t see old performances.  
Is this a simple query to add to the php script or would it take alot more than this? Also can the results of the dates of performances then be displayed in chronological order?
