# How to silence microphone.get()?

Hi there,

Working on a little experiment using the microphone. All going well, except for two things.

Firstly, theres i quite a big delay between speaking into the mic and it being played - is this normal? Using Player 9 on a good spec machine.

Also, I dont actually need the sound to come out of the speakers, is there a way to mute the output. The usual way of stopping global sounds doesnt seem to work.
