# How to stop line from getting thicker when scaling length?

Happy New Year!  
I want to make a site design which would btw other things have four MCs consisting of (only) a hairline-thin line. This line needs to change length and rotate (more or less) freely. I have done this with squares (the frame hairline-thick) before without any trouble.  
However, this time when changing the width of the line (with actionscript) it actually grows thicker as it gets longer. I have tried to use \_width, \_xscale in different scripts but with no success. How would I go about achieving this? I am going to follow the Drawing API tutorial here on Kirupas but it doesn’t seem quite what I am after.  
Does any have a good answer? or a link to a tutorial?:pa:
