Hi To give you reference im talking about [this design](http://www.revivetemplates.com/images/mockup_main_full.jpg) What is going to happen is that the user rolls over a menu item up the top, gets a list of submenu items, clicks one, now heres the trick bit. I would like the content area at the bottom to slide up, i suppose that sounds simple, but i would like it so that when they click a new submenu item the slider at the bottom closes down then slides back up with the new content item… How should i proceed? Start by learning flash. Then realize that your design should be done in CSS. ---

sekasi That wasnt helpfull or nice, it was plain rude. I know basic flash animation, and yeah, i could do this in CSS easily, but i dont wish to do it in CSS My thinking behind this was that i get each submenu item to trigger a gotoandplay frame inside a movieclip, each animation could be the popup box with the content inside, pretty simple but then i will run into a few problems. Is there any way i can open the popup, then when it hits a certain frame number, assign the movieclip an id, then i can check to see if that id exists, if it does close the box and open a new one. Thoughts? ---

Okay okay, I apologize. But quite frankly, there’s been a weird surge of very general questions here like “see this website here, how do I do this” and similar, and it’s quite defeating to try and answer a post like that since there are so many details. I do think you should stick to CSS for that site though, it looks like it was made for it 😉 ---

WOW Thanks Sekasi, takes a lot to do that, fair play. Ok yeah, granted it does look like CSS would fit like a glove, unfortunatly it isnt an option, client wants flash.
