well, i cant figure this out! ive gone to a lot of my favorite band sites lately and noticed they have their entire cd playing on their website! you can switch between tracks, and everything. i just dont get it. how did they import all of their songs into flash and not suffer a huge file size? i mean, these sites are still really fast?
how do i import a whole cd, multiple tracks, and not get a huge file size?

One way of doing it is to save each file as an external movie. That way, each track is loaded as it is needed, and not all at once. You can select the tracks fairly quickly that way too.

With Flash MX you can stream sound through Flash and your .mp3 files are external.
There is a tutorial on this site on loading techniques in Flash 5 and MX.

I also noticed some sites that have buttons in their flash movie that targets an iframe that loads html pages with just real audio embeded in them.
