# HTML embed issue

I’m sure someone else has had to run into this problem before (or at least I am hoping). The problem is that when I embed my flash movie onto an HTML page with a background, for a split second before my preloader actually loads up there is a white box where my Flash movie is going to load. Which really takes away from the general look of the site when it initially embeds the preloader.
I have tried using wmode=transparent to embed the preloader into the page, but that causes a relatively large performance hit on my SWF so I have found that while it’s a solution, the problems it causes are more trouble then they are worth.
Does anyone know any way to embed a Flash movie onto a page without seeing the outline of where it will be, AND not having to use wmode=transparent?
Any help would be greatly appreciated. :p:
