# Hyperlinked text in Flash

My movie has html text that I display in a text field with its htmlText property set. I need to embed a hyperlink in the text field and I can do that using the “\<a href\>” html tag. How about if I need to call a function within the movie from the hyperlink text? Can this be done from the htmlText? I don’t like the idea of invisible button overlayed on the text. Just seems very clunky.  
Any suggestions or ideas are welcome.
