# I can't use "alert()"

Not being able to use the “alert()” function is a small part of my problem, none of the Flash JavaScript API code works (I want to use FLfile.listFolder()). I work with AS a lot but it’s the first time I use something from the “Extending Flash”-menu, from which nothing works.

Do I have to download something to be able to use those functions or do I have to change some settings?

I’d appreciate some feedback on this 🙂
