i have a problem regarding my hardrive…

well i have a freind who is a network manager… so he has acces to all the computers…  
some of them are his own…  
soo he got me a harddrive seeing as mine is a pretty crappy one  
i got this hardrive i installed XP on it cuz there was NT on it… now i want to remove NT from the hardrive… how do i do it… i am not a computer genuis… soo pls help me
