# I must be missing something (I'm a noob!)

Hi All,

This will show myself up as a complete newbie!! I’ve created a movie clip, it’s on the stage. I want to create another MC just like the first but with some text and image changes. I duplicate the clip. When I try to change the text (or replace images) it changes the text and images in both MC’s. I’ve tried a few things but cannot work it out. There must be a way to do this.
