# I need a example

Guys, can anyone give me a simple level editor example? so that i can study it?..I dont need anything complex, i just need to see how to write data to a external file and retrieve it…i know theres a tutorial for this right on the main site, but i want to see the implementation on a level-editor.

Also i need some tips on what is the best way to achieve this transfer process in flash 8, cause, if i use normal text files…then loading and parsing is quite slow…on the other hand, if i use xml, then making a large level will drive me nuts later on…i mean it will be too long to understand if i see the xml file later…so please share all the info you got on making a level editor…
