# I Need Help

Here’s the site I’m working on.

after everything loads in the home section. The two windows that drop down seems to take up too much cpu power…

Here’s how I have it set up…

On the first frame, I set the if statement

if (\_root.bt == “home”){  
gotoAndPlay (“start”);  
}

Second Frame. I set the loop.  
gotoAndPlay (1);

So that it’ll keep looping itself until the variable “bt” gets modified.

I think the constant looping is causing the high cpu usage…

(go over the buttons… the rollover animation is soo slow.  
but if you press the home button again to make the windows disappear… - the rollover animation is normal again.

You can also check the windows task manager to see how much cpu power your browsers eating up…

Weird… Can someone help me solve this?..

I can’t help you much with the code, but my browser is using 96% of my CPU.

I have 900mhz P4.

Nice site though.

I’d be great if you guys can tell me how it runs on your computer/browser… Like I explained previously… It seems to take up too much cpu resources, thus making it slower than normal.

The number 2. I made it so that the windows drop on mouse over a hit area. This seems to make the site a tad faster, since the windows disappear when menu buttons are reached.

I had my girlfriend take a look @ the site. She says everything seems fine… No slowdowns… But for some reason, on my work computer, it seems to lag. (It’s a pretty fast cpu too.)
