# IE slow after installing Norton

Well, I installed norton anti-virus stuff a couple days ago, until that time, IE worked alright. now it takes a very long time to load basically any page. today, even google took a very long time. i’ve this google toolbar, and i click google and then google home page button on the toolbar, and IE gives the url at the bottom, but doesn’t do anything. then i re-click that thing several times, and the page pops up quickly. the problem is that it happens only sometimes…

i was watching videos on youtube today, and it took extremely long to load a page. when the actual page loaded, the video had already moved to about 30 seconds…

[rant]norton is so dumb. it’s a really good software, but the amount of processes they run on your computer is just crazy! when i run my hijack-this, many processes are just by symantec. how dumb!!![/rant]

**please don’t tell me to get firefox. thanks. 😛**
