# Illustartor Grid

Hello all,  
I have a question maybe someone knows the answer to . . .  
Is there a way to print the grid in the illustrator file.  
I designed a piece in illustrator and want to print it out to do some manual changes to it via pencile, but I want to use the grid as measurement so is there a way to print the background grid as well, or do I have to actually lay the lines out on a separate layer . . .
