# Illustrator 10 issue

usually, when using the selection tool, a box appears around the object selected and that box allows the object to be resized and/or rotated with the selection tool.

now, suddenly, the box does NOT appear and I have to use the scale tool and the rotate tool to perform those functions.

is there a setting somewhere that may have gotten changed? this is a huge annoyance and if anyone can help, I would greatly appreciate it!
