# Illustrator 10 question

I have a graphic on an A4 page in illustrator 10, however some of this hangs off the edge. How do I crop the page???

I know its using the pathfinder pallette but which 1?:p:

**Clipping Mask**

you could use a clipping mask… what you do is draw a rectangle the size of the A4 page, then select the shape you want to crop and the A4rectangle you just made and hit Ctl 7 (or // Object/ClippingMask/Create). this with make is a clipping mask. you can also release this mask so to retain your old shape.

**Path Finder**

Make a A4 rectangle filled, and select both that rectangle and the shape you want to crop, select on the second row the 4th button “Crop”. that should do the trick.
