# Illustrator: Why won't my swatch colors gradient?

For a job I’m on I’ve created a custom swatch library for the color scheme in order to keep the colors all together. However I’m experimenting with gradients on the types and nearly all bar one or two of the colors won’t be dragged into the gradient bar.

Is there a reason for this? Can I fix it in any way?
