Hi guys, been a while away from the forum and flash.

But now I’m working on a project that demands a file upload for images. The guys over at development decided to use flash for this but they are not very proficient on the platform. Go figure… What I would like to do is get the image dimensions for validation purposes BEFORE the image is received by the server. I know it is possible to check for file size.

So, two questions: is it possible? if it is, how do I do it? I ask you just for a class reference or general logic of the thing so I can figure out the rest myself. But if you have a nice example at hand I won’t mind 😉

So far the closest thing I’ve found is this post on yahoo flash blog:

Thx a lot for your attention.
