# Images in flash mx

okay so i want to import an image in say for instance…  
imagine a diamond in a bmp ( obviously the diamond has a square outside wheer the paper is) how do i import only the diamond but nothing else?

um, save the file as png w/ a tranparent background (like in photoshop) and then you’ll just have the diamond and no bg. 🙂

no, you can try importing it, then breaking it apart (in the modify menu) and deleting the white background by deslecting the whole thing and then clicking on itand deleting

You can import into flash, right click on the image and click break apart, then you can erase out what you don’t want. I don’t know how easy or concise it will be though…if you don’t have photoshop or some other graphic program.

\*\*edit, lol, how many times is that, bombing 😛

pretty much the same thing I said, other than mine’ll be a bit more prescise depending on if your image is only white in the back or not

edit: something like 4 times? :to:, your typing teacher must have been dissapointed :pleased:
