# & in XML

Hi,

Does anybody knows how do I get the _ **&** _ sign in XML. Since XML contains  
the data which is coming from Database and some of the records contains  
_ **&** _ sign.  
That XML is not parsed by Browser.(IE 5.5) and displays error to that Symbol.

Has anyone of u faced this problem? If yes, then I want to know how you handled that exception.

Any help and suggesion will be appreciated. Thanx
