# Input text + mask = Bad mix?

Hello guys, this is my first post on this forum so far. :beer2:  
I’ve been learning flash for about 2 months now, from books and online tutorials.  
Yet I have bumped into a new “problem”.  
I can’t find out why my input text is invisible if its masked by a layer on top of it.  
I’m not talking about the script …setMask(…), but about an actual mask layer.

If u got any idea’s how to fix this let me know, any advice is appreciated :thumb2:
