# Install anOS on Creative® Jukebox Zen Xtra?

I would like to know if it is possible to install a linux distro on the Creative® Jukebox Zen Xtra?

School is making me buy a external hdd, but i rather have this instead so i can listen to music on my way home, and its smaller to!!!

I know it is possible to put other files like photo’s n movies ect on the ‘Zen’ but not sure if an OS will work.

any comments would be appreciated.

I’d take a guess at no - what architecture is the CPU on those things?

I have no clue, but sins it is possible to install an os on a usbstick [or whateva ya call it] I thought it would be possible on the ‘creative zen’ device as this is more advanced then those cheap \*\*\* usbsticks.

what i mean is, i just want to use the hdd of the Jukebox to install the os. I don’t wanna use linux on the zen in a standalone environment,so the cpu as little to with it i guess.

but before i buy one i would like to know for sure.
