# Instance name

How can I set an instance name of a symbol that is dragged to the scene from the library panel (or created by convert to symbol)?

In my case they’re all named instance1, instance2…

Click on the symbol on the stage (it has to be either movieclip, button or textfield) then, in the properties panel, fill in the instance name field.
