# Interactive Image Panning

I just read the tutorial for the [Interactive Image Panning](http://www.kirupa.com/developer/flash8/interactive_image_pan.htm). I am using this code for a starting point for a navigation menu that is being masked. I am want the menu to scroll only when the mouse is over the masked area. I have found many references to scrolling menus but they all scroll with the stage and not just the menu area.

Anyone have any tips for doing this?
