# Ip addressing

Hi all, i dont know which thread shld i post as this is related to server side.

I try to host a site on my cpu but because my pc is connect to a router and the ip address is router generic ip(192.168.1.1), only worrk for local area network. so any idea how to get my real ip address. as i need to update it on [dyndns.com](http://dyndns.com).

I try to find my ip no the web but it seem to don’t work with the ip.
