# Is it possible to get the X and Y of a \<td\>?

i need this for a javascript drop-down navigation menu to run properly?  
if i cant get the X and Y of the “td” where the image link is located? can i at least get the div where the header is located so i can base the coordinates from there?

or is there any other way?
