G’day guys,

I’ve got a few icons I’m using as buttons, and a description text underneath them (link\_txt). I’m basically wanting to show visitors that the icons are buttons, so I thought I’d get the description to briefly appear beneath each button. This is what I’m using:

```auto
link_txt._x = 230;
 link_txt.text = "about";
function shop(){
 link_txt._x = 283;
 link_txt.text = "shop";
}
setTimeout(shop, 500);
function gallery(){
 link_txt._x = 317;
 link_txt.text = "gallery";
}
setTimeout(gallery, 1000);
function links(){
 link_txt._x = 372;
 link_txt.text = "links";
}
setTimeout(links, 1500);
function contact(){
 link_txt._x = 395;
 link_txt.text = "contact";
}
setTimeout(contact, 2000);
function gone(){
 link_txt.text = "";
}
setTimeout(gone, 2500);
```

…but I’m sure there’s a more elegant way, and I’d also like to fade the text in, if possible.

Can anyone help?

Cheers!

boog 🙂
