# Is this done with 3D, AE and then done with Flash?

All right. I just cannot figure out how the guys do this. Check the front page from Der Bauer [http://www.derbauer.de](http://www.derbauer.de)
How will I be able to do those effects. Lets say for the sake of learning that I would like to build the same metal morphing effect. Do I have to build it in Cinema 4D, Maya or Studio Max or is it done with After Effects and some plugins and then work into Flash? The mouse over effect looks so good. I am just starting to get into 3D apps. Seems very complex. I am just lost. It seems that there arn’t any good tutorials out there.
If you have some links to share please do. All help is welcome.

you could probably even do that in photoshop. but since the letters and numbers are a bit angled, it may have been done in a 3D program.

i dont think there was much if any 3d there at all. it looks like it was just done in AE using the distort filters.

kinda hard to say what it is done in because i can see some areas where it could possible be 3d. I however think it is a mix of vector and bitmap with some cool filters. Maybe like ripple or wave. As far as a tut on that you wuld probably be better served messing around with ps7 and image ready. Since that is such a specialized effect. Oh and definately some tweens in there…good luck

Im Positive that i coul recreate this with out any 3d at all. I recognice the steps. this could have even been made in flash with some imported Pngs.

yes true I was looking at it also…However I could recreate this effect in about 3 mins. In max using modifiers. But that would be over kill. I agree ps7 and distort filters.

Hm. If its so easy please post an fla example or if its done the AE file. 🙂
