# It won't open

i have an MX 2004 fla file w/c i downloaded over the net. when i tried opening it, double click on the file it won’t open, instead a message appears “unexpected file format” & on the other fla file “failed to open document”. I’m using Flash MX 2004 Professional.  
can anyone tell why?
