# Italian ruling could force Netflix subscriber refunds

An Italian court says Netflix has to pay back subscribers for years of unlawful price hikes, with refunds reportedly reaching up to €500, and a consumer group is now pushing the company to cut current prices too.

That €500 ceiling is the part Netflix will hate, because once refunds feel tangible instead of symbolic, every other market starts looking at the same price-change language a lot harder.
