hello buddies

i am new in action scripting  
i have designed a web page the layout of the whole page is in scene 1  
on that page at a specific place i want to play a movie which will give some description after releasing the respective button  
i have done something like this

on(release){  
goToAndPlay(“Scene2”)  
}

it works but when i want to play some other movieclip on some other button from another scene (Scene3) it works but it plays both scenes i.e “Scene2” and 'Scene3"  
How can i overcome this problem? I just want to play only one scene or one movieclip for one button only
