# Keeping a button one color

Ok, I’ve made these buttons that I have that start out as a white circle. I have made the different states and colors for the up, down, over, hit states. But when I click the button, I want it to remain black. When I click down it turns black, but when I let go, it goes back to white. How do I make it so that it stays black?

you could make a state for the button that assigns a value when its clicked on. when its true, the background of your button can be set to whatever you want.

u wanna search for _sticky buttons_ theres loads on them…
also have a look for the smartclip navigation thread (mite be in the AS forum, not sure) because i know ive just answered a similar question with flas and explaination 😉
