# Kirupa, how did you make that cool random traffic animation?

I’ve noticed that cool little urban traffic movie you have at the bottom of some of your pages.

How do you make the random cars move from the right to the left, and at varying speeds?

Hey edge,  
I used ActionScript for that. I can’t find the FLA for that at the moment (I created that animation about 6 months ago), but I am planning on writing a tutorial on this in a few weeks. Basically, I create a variable for speed and give it a random value every time it exits the movie stage. I increment the car’s current location with the random speed I assigned it. I know my explanation is quite confusing, but I hope to have a tutorial explaining this upcoming shortly 🙂
